The novel A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness is set over a six week period between September 18 and November 1. Each year, the All Souls Discussion Group (a fan group with 22K+ members) leads a "real-time read" of the book where fans read the relevant chapter(s) of the book on the day or days on which the action in that chapter occurs. It's a great way to revisit these wonderful books while also getting in the mood for autumn.
After years of attempting to track my real-time read via Word documents and Excel spreadsheets, in 2023 I built a Notion database to track my reading and released it as a template for the community. The template includes reading assignments (assigned by day) for all four currently released books in the All Souls series. You can relate this template to your daily journal/log or use it as a standalone tracker.
Note: this template will be updated for the fifth book, The Black Bird Oracle (releasing July 2024) if the All Souls Discussion Group releases a real-time read schedule for this book.
